Fierce, funny, & frank.
Hi, I’m Nancy. Tech CEO, speaker, and author. I help cultivate people-centered experiences and work cultures that benefit humans and businesses. And I’m a proud weirdo.
The future of work is all about people.
People-first as a business strategy works. But companies and individuals have a lot to unlearn and relearn to make work better for all people. If we get real, get open, and start challenging how "things are" we can build better cultures and achieve better outcomes. It's a win-win.
As CEO of an award-winning agency, Clockwork, I have hands-on experience building people-centered work cultures. My books help individuals and teams improve their work experiences through empathy, humility, and action. I was named one of Minneapolis’s Most Admired CEOs and have been featured on Minnesota Public Radio and NBC Nightly News.
Let’s change the future of work to be by us and for us.
“In what’s been a particularly challenging time for leaders, Nancy’s message was relevant, encouraging, and filled with hope.”
– Andrea Walsh, CEO, HealthPartners
A guide to making work better
Imagine loving work. Imagine your team feeling motivated. Imagine getting things done with less drama and better attitudes. It’s possible. And I wrote a book to get you there.
“Work Like a Boss" will help you tap into your personal power: your power to find joy, to enjoy your job, and to make work more meaningful. It’s an easy-to-read book that has actionable advice you can pick-and-choose to thrive at work, and build stronger work cultures for success.
“Few people translate purposeful work into words the way Nancy does. She gets the connection between work and what is going on in the world – whether that’s the big world of global challenges and follies or something smaller and more intimate that goes on within the space of our living rooms and lives. Oh… did I mention that she’ll also make you laugh and think – deeply!”
– Bud Bernstein, Maine HR Convention and Strategic HR New England
My speaking: Motivating and actionable
I speak about work culture across industries and sectors. I keynote large-scale industry events and internal conferences, participate in panel discussions, moderate conversations, and emcee galas.
I am known for my positive energy and accessible humor. Each talk is tailored for your audience and delivered through stories and real-world lessons I’ve learned from my role as a CEO, leader, and founder.

Co-Creating The Next Iteration Of Work
Cultures are constantly changing—what workplaces looked and felt like ten years ago isn't how workplaces look and feel now. And as we look beyond COVID, there is an opportunity to keep evolving in ways we might not imagine right now.
I suggest we all try approaching it with a design thinking lens; redefining and redesigning work is best done as a co-creation between leadership and all staff.
